Aware that our field is particularly sensitive, both from its social and economic dimension, our Commission's mission is to encourage the exchange of information and points of view. Building a debate on labour law on an international level necessarily implies knowledge of the different national legal systems: it is therefore of the utmost interest that each member of our Commission be able to contribute, from its individual prospective, to have a collective view.

You are therefore invited to take part in the next opportunities to meet and work together:
- At our online meetings: the next one will take place on March 26, 2024;
- At the UIA Global Mobility Forum on the theme "Best Practices in Coordinating Legal Advice in an Age of Accelerating Global Migration", to be held on March 7 and 8, 2024 in Barcelona (Spain); on this occasion, our Commission is called upon to provide a reflection on international telework, combining the expertise of specialists in immigration and labour law;
- At the Commission's Mid-year Meeting, to be held this year in Barcelona on March 8 and 9, 2024; during the working session, we will have the opportunity to discuss current labour law issues from the perspective of the participants' different jurisdictions, and to prepare the themes for the annual Paris Congress;
- At the 18th UIA Winter Seminar on the theme "Soft Law to Hard Law: the impact of SDG and ESG goals on legal practice", to be held from March 9 to 16, 2024 in Banff (Canada); on this occasion we will reflect on the impact of the Sustainable Development and ESG Goals on employment in terms of the evolution of international labour law, recruitment and dismissal, health, safety, working conditions, diversity, equity and inclusion, and compensation;
- At the seminar "A road to Human Right Due Diligence - Anti-money Laundering, Anti-corruption, environmental protection and more", to be held on March 21 and 22, 2024 in Tokyo (Japan);
- At the 15th UIA Annual Business Law Forum on the theme “Food Business: Legal Developments and Challenges in a Growing Industry in a Globalised World”, to be held on June 6 and 7, 2024 in Valencia (Spain);
- At the seminar "Health law in practice: paving the way for Justice and Equity", to be held on June 20 and 21, 2024 in Sao Paolo (Brazil);
- At the UIA Annual Congress, to be held in Paris from October 30 to November 3, 2024; on this occasion, our Commission has organized a working session in collaboration with the Foreign Investment Commission, which will provide food for thought on how labour law impacts the operations of foreign investors, particularly from a social and governance point of view.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to contribute to the work of our group, by participating as a speaker at seminars, by writing articles for Commission members or for the UIA magazine (Juriste International), or by submitting ideas and proposals for reflection.

We look forward to meeting or seeing you soon!
