COMITE LGBTQI+

The UIA Union Internationale des Avocats LGBTQI+ Committee monitors the changes (negative and positive) concerning LGBTQI+ community rights around the world. It aims at protecting lawyers in danger for defending LGBTQI+ persons, and reflecting on the different areas of the law that concern LGBTQI+ individuals.

The LGBTQI+ officers of UIA, along with their peers from AIJA and IBA, organise every year a special and informal social get together during the Amsterdam Gay Pride. Among a tailor made program, this year’s scientific session will ask: “What’s the Ga(y)me: where are we standing in the legal reality of today as diverse minority. Also, any gay ice hockeyers came out yet?”.
