Seminar presented by the UIA with the support of the Catholic University of Argentina (Universidad Católica Argentina – UCA)
The seminar will focus on the legal aspects of foreign investments related to Latin America (LATAM). While the European Union, the United States, Canada, Asia, and other regions have consistently contributed substantial investment inflows, there is also a considerable volume of investments between Latin American countries.
It is often assumed that all legal systems across LATAM are homogeneous. However, although many regimes present significant similarities, they are not always identical. Furthermore, cultural factors play a critical role when evaluating potential investments. As such, our role as legal counsel becomes crucial when advising clients on both the legal and strategic approaches.
The program will address key topics such as corporate vehicles, tax incentives, dispute resolution mechanisms, investment opportunities, strategies, and economic and political scenarios in LATAM. Experienced and renowned speakers will present on each of these subjects, bringing us an up-to-date, modern, and practical analysis.
