European sanctions : Legal framework and expanding scope of application in view of EU general principles of law and fundamental rights case-law

This seminar will gather experts (such as judges, lawyers, professors) to discuss the expanding scope of application of EU sanctions and the challenges this expansion raises in view of EU general principles of law and human rights case-law (especially in view of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights). Other sanctions mechanisms, such as US and UK sanctions, will also be discussed on a comparative approach.
