Dear Friends,

The next Congress in Budapest is approaching fast and we would like to give you an additional incentive to register. In this newsletter, you will find some of the topics the UIA Commissions will present during the event. We are confident that one or more of these topics will be of interest to you. As usual, the UIA has also set up a program of scientific work to analyze recent changes in the legal profession. Last but not least, there will be many opportunities for formal and informal discussions with other Congress participants.

The newsletter also contains information on recent developments in our association, as well as on current activities in the various other fields in which the UIA is active.

We have now been sending out the UIA newsletter for almost two years. We would like to discuss the underlying concept with you, as well as possibilities for improvement and suggested changes. We believe the Congress would be a good starting point for this process, so please feel free to give Pierre Viviani or me your ideas and suggestions during any of our many meetings: we welcome your input.
