بعد نجاحها وانتشارها في معظم دول العالم، أصبحت الوساطة الوسيلة الأكثر إعتماداً من المحامين لحل النزاعات. وقد واكبت لجنة الوساطة وتفادي النزاعات في الإتحاد الدولي للمحامين هذا التطور منذ تأسيسها، وهي تتطلع لنشر هذه الثقافة في الدول العربية حيث باشرت خلال شهر أبريل سنة 2019، بتنظيم ندوة دولية في لبنان حول تطور مفاهيم الوساطة بما فيها الوساطة القضائية ودور كل من القاضي والمحامي والوسيط في هذا المجال، وهي تنظم لهذه الغاية ندوةً عن بعد باللغة العربية بتاريخ 20/7/2020، تطل بها على العالم العربي قاطبةً وعلى المحامين خاصةً، تتناول فيها مفهوم الوساطة كوسيلة بديلة لحل النزاعات، ومدى نجاحها واعتمادها من قبل المحامين في العالم، وتطابق مفهوم الوساطة مع مبداء الصلح في الجتمعات العربية، بالإضافة الى الحاجة الماسة لإدخال الوساطة الى الأنظمة القضائية المعتمدة.

As a result of its success and advancement to most countries, Mediation is now the primary method of conflict resolution practiced by attorneys throughout the world. From its inception, the UIA Mediation and Conflict Prevention Commission has been a part of this journey as it sought to advance the culture of Mediation into the Arab World. To this end, the UIA Mediation and Conflict Prevention Commission organized an International Seminar in Lebanon in April 2019 to discuss the development of Mediation, including Judicial Mediation, and the Role the Judge, Lawyer, and Mediator each play in the Mediation framework. In the same spirit, the UIA Mediation and Conflict Prevention Commission will conduct a Webinar in Arabic on 20/7/2020 geared towards Arab society in general, but specifically towards Lawyers, covering various aspects of Mediation as an Alternative Dispute Resolution, its success and adoption by attorneys from various countries, as well as its compatibility with the principal and spirit of reconciliation in Arab society. Finally, the Webinar will emphasize the need to incorporate Mediation in currently-adopted legal systems.
