The Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements of 2005
In a less uniform and more protectionist global legal environment, choosing the right forum to resolve disputes will be crucial. Knowing the international conventions, such as the 2005 Hague Convention on Choice of Court Agreements, which provide legal certainty, will facilitate the work: what is its scope of application, what requirements the choice of forum agreement must meet, what are the benefits of relying on it, what is its relationship with other conventions, etc. Mexico being one of the first countries to be a member of this Convention, currently applicable in more than 30 countries, in this session, we will clear up these doubts for international lawyers.
