International Human Rights Competition - Memorial de Caen - Use your Legal Talents to Promote Human Rights!

For the last 28 years, the Mémorial de Caen provides a forum for lawyers from around the world to denounce human rights violations and raise awareness for little-known causes.

The UIA, in partnership with the Memorial de Caen, invites all lawyers to speak out about their particular causes and join voices with the more than 250 other lawyers who have previously participated in this event.

The following three prizes will be awarded to the most well defended causes:
 

• Mémorial and City of Caen Award: € 8,000
   
• Bar Association Award: € 4,000
   
• Prize awarded by the audience: € 4,000

In addition, the UIA is offering a free one-year membership to the ten lawyers who are selected as finalists.

The competition winner will also receive free registration and accommodation for the 2018 UIA Congress, to be held in Porto, Portugal, from October 30 to November 3, 2018.
