The International Criminal Defence commission deals with issues relating to national and international proceedings against alleged perpetrators of international crimes (crimes against humanity, war crimes, genocide) and acts of terrorism.

Commission members can exchange and share their experience and knowledge on various aspects of international criminal justice, including the defence of suspects and defendants; access to justice and victims’ rights; substantive and procedural aspects of international criminal law; international judicial cooperation; the situation of acquitted or convicted persons; the principle of universal jurisdiction; and corporate criminal liability
