Environmental Crimes

Environmental offenders are a serious threat to our lives, our planet, the economy and future generations. Borders do not allow for the containment of environmental crimes, which include trafficking in protected species or the dumping of hazardous waste. Environmental crime is very lucrative, organized, and harmful to the planet, and often goes hand in hand with other crimes such as corruption and money laundering. The insurance law Commission will moderate the panel and present the insurability of environmental crimes. It will work in a joint session together with the Commission on animal Law which will talk about the illegal wildlife trade and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) implementation;  the compliance and money Laundering  Sub-Committee which will deal with the issue of money laundering from environmental crimes and the illegal wildlife trade from the perspective of the regulatory obligations to monitor traffickers, and the criminal law Committee which will talk about the new aspects of the human trafficking.
