International Industrial Animal Agriculture and Food Labeling
This joint session will address industrial animal agriculture products sold for human consumption and food labeling laws that govern how to legally disclose what is contained in these products. International consumers concerned with health, the environment, and animal welfare make daily purchasing decisions based on food labels. Labeling is not necessarily consistent with the product, and may be in violation of the law. A panelist from each of the four collaborating Commissions will give a presentation on issues concerning labeling of animal products in their country, followed by a group question and answer session.
