The session aims to explore the impact and implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in administrative activities, with a particular focus on legal, ethical, and operational aspects. During the event, we will discuss the following main topics: 1) AI in the Administrative Sector (Analysis of the practical applications of AI in public administrations, including the automation of decision-making processes, data management, and the digitization of services); 2) Legal and Regulatory Aspects (Study of existing regulations and new legislative proposals concerning the use of AI in the administrative field, with a focus on challenges related to privacy, data protection, and legal liability) 3) Ethical Implications (Exploration of the ethical issues arising from the adoption of AI, such as the risk of algorithmic discrimination, transparency in automated decision-making processes, and equity in access to public services); 4) Risks and Opportunities for Lawyers practicing in the Administrative Law field. 5) Future Perspectives: Predictions on the future of AI in public administrations, including public-private collaboration scenarios and the evolution of regulation at the European and international levels.
