Fintech: riesgos y oportunidades para los actores en el mercado financiero

Las nuevas tecnologías están obligando a los actores económicos a repensar la forma en la que desarrollan su actividad.
Nuestra sesión conjunta analizará, por una parte, el impacto de las Fintechs en el sector financiero y las Start-ups y, por otra parte, las consecuencias que las regulaciones tales como la PSD2 pueden implicar para la actividad de dichos actores económicos.

    Turkey has two main legislations are titled as «Law on Payment and Security Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions, «Regulation on Payment Services and Issuance of Electronic Money, Payment Institutions» and
    «Communiqué on the Management and Inspection of Information Systems of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions» governed by Turkish Banking Regulation and Supervision Authority (BRSA) and «Regulation on the Activities of Payment and Security Reconciliation Systems» and «Regulation on Supervision of Payment and Security Reconciliation Systems» governed by Turkish Central Bank which provide protections to all concerns within the general framework of PSD1.

    FINTECHS: RISKS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PLAYERS IN THE FINANCIAL MARKET “Risks and opportunities of FinTech for anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML_CFT)” “Focus on Virtual Currencies and Crowdfunding”

    In recent years, the financial industry has seen fast-growing adoption of financial technology, or FinTech. “FinTech” refers to technology enabled provision of financial services, including by alternative providers who use technology-based systems in some way to either provide financial services directly or to make the financial system more efficient.
    In terms of the fundamentals of anti-money laundering - customer due diligence, knowing the source and destination of money flows and identifying suspicious activity - technological innovations provide an opportunity to bring anti-money laundering into the 21st century.
    New technologies - supported by advances in encryption and network computing - are driving transformational change in the global economy, including in how goods, services and assets are exchanged. An important development in this process has been the emergence of virtual currencies. Virtual currencies and especially their underlying technologies (notably distributed ledgers based on blockchains) are a potentially important advance for the financial sector that could increase efficiency and financial inclusion, but can also serve as vehicles for money laundering, terrorism financing and tax evasion...
