The fashion law working group aims to cover all aspects of law relating to fashion and the fashion industry, including the sale of goods, advertising, copying, counterfeiting and the protection of intellectual property rights, commercial contracts and licensing and franchising, both in the world of the high street and the online arena.

Due to the wide variety of legal issues affecting the fashion industry, we often work closely with other commissions in contributing to the life of the UIA, both in relation to congressional main themes and the organisation of specific mid-year seminars.

The international nature of the fashion industry also means that international solutions are required to international legal problems.  By team-building with lawyers from different jurisdictions, we encourage the sharing of knowledge and experiences across jurisdictions in all the UIA official languages.

This helps us as lawyers to deliver a better service to our international clients.
