Residency and Wealth Planning – The Bolero Dance of Residency and Citizenship Planning with International Estate Planning
Estate planning can be traced back as far back as 3000 BC, contrasted to residency and citizenship planning, which soared with the onset of the jet age. In the 21st Century, a failure to coordinate advice in both of these areas of law to a high net worth individual (HNWI) is a gamble that could pose severe financial and personal risk to the HWNI and their family. In a current political environment where residency by investment (RBI) and citizenship by investment (CBI) programs often are under heavy scrutiny, this panel shall discuss means by which RBI/CBI immigration advice coordinated with international estate planning can promote personal and financial security for the HNWI client.
