Under the title "Between a New Golden Age and Armageddon: Law, Responsibility, and the Future of AI," this international summit will explore the best and worst impacts of artificial intelligence and how the law may be used to prevent undesired consequences.

The first day of the summit will explore whether AI is creating true benefits and prosperity and specifically, how this is affecting the legal profession and the judiciary. During the second day, we will then examine the legal consequences of workplace automation, algorithmic management, and permanent monitoring, as well as investigate whether the creation of technical standards and certifications for AI systems may be a solution. Furthermore, we will dissect the legal status, attribution of benefits, and liabilities related to the use of autonomous AI agents.

Finally, we will tackle AI risks and potentially catastrophic scenarios, exploring which are the areas affected by AI that are most at risk and how legislation can prevent or mitigate those risks, as well as the legal issues related to the use of autonomous weapons and the weaponisation of AI itself.
