Navigating the Future of the Legal Profession: Lawyers in a Changing World
The panel will gather French, English, and Spanish-speaking practitioners from around the world and across legal sectors to discuss pressing challenges the legal profession faces across geographic regions and fields of practice (e.g., challenges of the cross-border and international practice of law, lawyers’ roles in cross-border investment, the legal profession in the face of political change and judicial reform, upholding independence amid political interference (pressure on judicial independence, lawfare, threats to lawyers’ safety, access to justice and strengthening professional ethics and accountability). The panelists will also be encouraged to share their insightful perspectives on the changes our profession faces and what we should do to remain relevant, competitive, and impactful in a rapidly evolving landscape.
