The UN Human Rights Council adopted the Resolution on the independence and impartiality of the judiciary, jurors and assessors and the independence of lawyers (A / HRC / 35 / L. 20, June 2017). One of our members obtains important judgment from the European Court of Human Rights on 19 January 2017

English By Caroline Mecary The LABORIE spouses came to see me in 2011, because the Public Prosecutor of the First Instance Court in Nantes refused to proceed to the transcription of the birth certificates of their two children, born in Ukraine, because of suspicion of surrogacy. I therefore brought an action before the First Instance Court of Nantes who rejected my demand of transcription on 10th November 2011.

Dear Members of the Foreign Investment Commission, As mentioned in our last communication, there were 3 candidate subjects to be chosen for our session next year: i. Investment in the cannabis industry, ii. Natural Resources Exploitation in your country and FDI, and iii. NAFTA as a tool for foreign investment and the issues related to the exploitation of natural resources and labour market. All three candidate subjects were very well received, but number 2, Natural Resources Exploitation in your country and FDI, was the preferred one.
